About the Birds We Love..

The Red Bird.

Also referred to as the Default BirdMain Bird, and the Cardinal Bird, is one of the several different styles of birds that are controlled in Angry Birds and Angry Birds Rio. They are typically referred to as the mascot of the series. If the screen is tapped while this bird is moving, it will yell out "Caw Caw!"
The Red Bird is the first seen, and used in the series, starting from the very first stage, In the first few levels, these birds will be able to cause great damage to the weaker structures, but as the player advances through, he or she will soon discover the Red Bird doesn't have much strength compared to the other birds, and can usually only shatter about one long wooden block before becoming acorpse.

The Blue Bird.

Are a species of birds used in the Angry Birds series. First debuting on the theme 1-10 these birds are the weakest of the seven, but have the unique ability to multiply into three identical copies so they are named mittuly, which fly into the pigs and their buildings.
It can be used in two ways. The first way is to multiply it when the player releases it to hit the targets in one time. The second way is to multiply it right before the bird crashes onto the building, to either break through ice or to push buildings down. Due to their lack of strength, they are mainly designed to destroy ice blocks. However, it is a must to multiply it to provide a triple force for tighter braking the glass blocks or to push a whole building down. It is not the smartest bird of flock, as shown in the Angry Birds Rio video when it keeps singing while the other birds see the crates coming.

The Yellow Bird.
Their  ability allows them to dash into pigs and structures, making them able to inflict more damage on buildings than the red bird. Much like many of the other birds, its strength usually varies depending on what block is struck and what angle it is struck, but in most cases, it can go through several thin wood blocks. Strangely, they are weak against glass, despite glass having a much weaker strength then wood. The yellow birds always spot the pigs with their anger.

The Black Bird.

It is the second most powerful bird in the game, and excels at taking out stone structures. Although being extremely powerful, Black Birds are generally placid species. Once angered however, the black bird will stop at nothing to get revenge. It is one of the rare Birds consistently capable of penetrating a concrete wall when aimed directly at it. It can also penetrate other walls pretty readily, but its overall penetrating power is tempered by its time-activated ability.
The Black Bird looks like a bomb, and that is precisely its ability. Once the Black Bird impacts anything, it glows red. About two seconds after doing so, the bird explodes, heavily damaging anything within a short radius and forcing back anything else within a larger radius. The Black Bird can also be made to explode early by tapping the screen or clicking the mouse.

The White Bird.

Are a species of birds seen in Angry Birds and Angry Birds Rio.They have the ability to drop explosive eggs on pigs. Despite being the second largest of the birds, White Birds have poor physical strength, although the eggs they deploy have decent power, though suffer from a short blast radius. Once the egg is dropped, the corpse then flies upwards to the right. Additional damage can be done to the fortresses if the egg is dropped in such a way that it launches the corpse into the structure. The White Birds' physical appearance seems to be based on an egg shape.
